“My time there was hell,” said a 2022 review. “12-hour shifts—no water breaks, no bathroom breaks. I nearly pissed myself begging for permission—denied. If the supervisors like you, you get decent pay; if not, pennies. They openly called us ‘***’—because that’s how they see us. I could write more, but after this, I’m done with shift work. I can’t handle this inhuman treatment. If I don’t see this in reviews, I’m writing to the president.”1
On October 14, 2022, the Border Directorate of the FSB of Russia for the Eastern Arctic Region filed a lawsuit with the Arbitration Court against Kamchattralflot, seeking to recover more than $25,000 for damages caused by the illegal harvesting of arrowtooth flounder.2
“The factory made a good impression starting September, but as soon as January hit and the first shift got screwed over with pay, everything went downhill—both wages and living conditions. They say one thing, pay another,” said a 2024 review. “It’s laughably pathetic.”3
“On Saturday, they told us we’re fired,” said another review posted later that year. “We showed up at 7 PM—freezing, snowing—and the dorm staff barked, ‘Get out, this isn’t a hostel.’ You bastards could’ve at least let people sleep there one night to find new housing!!!! Absolutely vile!!”4
