View notes
Health & Safety
On February 5, 2025 the classification society DNV suspended and later withdrew certification for the Erika after the shipowner failed to address required repairs and documentation updates by an August 31, 2024 deadline. The vessel had previously transported large quantities of salmon killed by a 2021 algal bloom to a fish processing plant in Talcahuano, Chile, prompting legal complaints from local residents concerned about environmental contamination.

Supply Chain

Erika is related to at least seven companies downstream, including one plant, three importers, two farms, and one mill.
