- Fishing
- The Fabiola was also cited on June 6, 2020 for illegally fishing in the Paracas Marine Protected Area and for going too slowly inside a restricted area, a leading indicator of illegal fishing.
- Between 2019 and 2024, the Fabiola likely bottom trawled for 11,697 hours (487 days). Bottom trawling is a fishing tactic in which a vessel tows a net, often hundreds of feet wide, along the ocean floor. Bottom trawling is a particularly destructive form of fishing because of its bluntness: anything in the net's path–including non-target species, coral reefs, and dolphins–is swept up, often fatally.
- Health & Safety
- An explosion aboard the Fabiola happened in May 2022 according to a Facebook post by Radar Pesquero. No injuries were reported.
