The Grunepa 3 was recorded illegally fishing in the Paracas Marine Protected Area on three occasions, including June 6, 12, and 13, 2020. The Ministry of Production, in their resolutions of May 2024, sanctioned the company with a fine and an order for confiscation of the illegal catch. Although that order could not be retroactively applied, the commercial value of the anchovy catch was to be paid as restitution.
