- The Macabi 10 is associated with at least one crew member death.
- Fishing
- Government officials from the Comptroller’s office found several instances where harbor inspectors had falsely verified inspections of 18 fishing vessels between January and November 2019, according to a report by Ojo Público. Among the vessels cited were Guanay, Costa Brava, and Caribe, all owned by Pesquera Exalmar, and the Macabi 10, which is owned by RH Administraciones. The falsified inspections pertained to the renewal of certifications tied to pollution and sewage controls. To receive these certifications, the ships needed to be physically inspected. But the investigation found that the ships in question were either at sea or not in the same port as the inspectors.
