- In November 2020, during an inspection at the Pesquera Exalmar processing plant located in La Libertad, accredited inspectors from the Ministry of Production discovered that the Señor Cautivo was unloading 10.580 tons of anchoveta. The vessel was found to have been operating within a five nautical mile restricted area in La Libertad, as confirmed through the Peruvian satellite tracking system. The system showed that the vessel maintained unsteady speed and course for over one hour, and the logbook for the vessel confirmed a fishing trip around the same time, with the fishing activity taking place within the restricted zone. Due to this violation, the authorities issued a Provisional Seizure Act regarding the 10.580 tons of anchoveta and ordered the payment of the seized fish to be made to the Ministry of Production within 15 calendar days. Pesquera Exalmar complied by making a payment of 7,852.25 soles on November 23, 2020.
- On May 12, 2021, during an inspection at the Corporación Pesquera Inca fishmeal plant in Sechura, Piura, it was found that the Señor Cautivo vessel had unloaded 39.1 tons of anchoveta, which exceeded the allowed tolerance by 0.13 percent, or approximately 100 pounds, for vessels with hold capacities of 50 m³ or less. A Provisional Seizure Act was issued for the 100 pounds of anchoveta, and the Corporación Pesquera Inca was required to pay the value of the seized resource within 15 calendar days. The company made the payment of 43.00 soles, though the actual amount required was calculated at 41.45 soles, leading to an overpayment of 1.55 soles.
